Abstracts should conform to the following:

  • Please use the abstract forms that can be downloaded from this website.
  • The font should be Times New Roman, Font Size 12. Begin, the text of the abstract without indentation using double spacing.
  • The title of the abstract should be brief but adequately descriptive. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to modify the title where necessary.
  • The names of authors and place of work should be mentioned. Author’s surname should be preceded by the initial(s) or forename(s), but not by prefixes such as Mr, Dr or Professor
  • The text of the abstract should not exceed 250 words.
  • Abstracts of research projects have to be structured according to Introduction; Methods; Results, Discussion.
  • Abstracts of case reports or case series do not need to be structured.
  • The author/s should take responsibility for the research work and the contents reported in the abstract and nominate a senior author as guarantor.
  • If the work has been previously presented or published, in whole or in part, this should be stated clearly in the abstract. This does not disqualify an abstract but must be stated when submitting the abstract.
  • Acknowledgements in the abstracts should be confined to acknowledging donor agencies.
  • Abstracts should be emailed to vajirahwd@hotmail.com by 3.00 pm on 15 January 2014.
  • Authors will be informed whether their abstracts have been selected by 20 January 2014.
  • Selected abstracts have to be presented as poster presentations. The size of the poster should be 1 m (width) X 1.5 m (height). Poster boards (orientation – portrait) will be provided to put up posters. Posters should be made on material which can be mounted easily.
